About the venue

The Boiler Shop is a Newcastle-upon-Tyne live music room set in the old offices and workshops of the Robert Stephenson and Company locomotive works, a Grade II* listed building that dates from 1823. Brothers David and Richard Clouston, its current custodians, finished a restoration in 2016, and the venue opened in its present form the following year.
