Bell X1 have released 'Atlas', the latest single from their ninth studio album, 'Good Bones', which is due on 13 November. The band have also added a third night at Dublin's Vicar Street, on 29 November, according to Dork.

The new date follows shows at the same venue on 27 and 28 November. Tickets for the extra night are on sale now.

A new single from 'Good Bones'

'Atlas' follows the earlier singles 'But First, Love' and 'Coughing Up Butterflies'. In describing the track, the band point to the setting where the album was made, saying it is "leaning into the freewheeling Americana of the Hudson Valley where we recorded, the endless skies and wraparound porches of the place."

'Good Bones' was recorded at Dreamland Recording Studios in Upstate New York. Josh Kaufman produced the sessions and D. James Goodwin engineered them. Dork's report does not detail the track listing or the full sound of the record beyond the band's own description of 'Atlas'.

Recording after Glenn Keating's death

Frontman Paul Noonan told Dork that the sessions came shortly after the death of the band's friend and collaborator Glenn Keating, which he called "a very heightened, emotional, but beautiful time". Keating, a Dublin musician and multi-instrumentalist, died on 4 March aged 43, following a six-year battle with bowel cancer.

Noonan said that working on the record "without distraction and with open hearts" felt "profound and cathartic". He added that Kaufman and Goodwin brought "brilliance and care to the process."

Irish tour, including Derry and Belfast

The Vicar Street shows form part of an Autumn/Winter Irish run. It opens at Spiegelten in Wexford on 17 October, with further stops planned in Cork, Derry, Belfast and Kerry. Derry and Belfast are the two Northern Ireland dates, so the tour is within reach of audiences there.

The source lists dates and venues only for Wexford and the three Dublin nights. Anyone planning to see the band in Derry or Belfast will need to check the band's official channels or ticket agents for confirmed dates and venues.

The confirmed dates in the source are:

- 17 October: Wexford, Spiegelten - 27 November: Dublin, Vicar Street - 28 November: Dublin, Vicar Street - 29 November: Dublin, Vicar Street
