The Cheap Thrills

About The Cheap Thrills

Two school friends from Walton, north Liverpool, making music together as children: that is where The Cheap Thrills begin. Anton Eager (drums) and Callum Fitzpatrick (bass) were later joined by guitarist and keyboardist Terry Eaves and singer-guitarist Lewis Pike. Their indie rock takes in alternative and psychedelic influences, with melodic guitar arrangements, energetic live shows and distinctive songwriting.

They learned their craft on Liverpool's independent circuit, playing Kendal Calling and Liverpool Sound City and appearing in The Guardian's Breaking Bands coverage. The vinyl EP Glare came out on Eighties Vinyl Records in 2017, followed by the mini-album Vue Du Monde in 2019, with BBC Radio 6 Music support from Steve Lamacq and Tom Robinson. In 2022 an acoustic version of "Codependence" featured in Liverpool FC's European kit campaign, its line "We'll follow for a lifetime and a day" serving as the tagline, and Sound Music Group named them Liverpool Band of the Year. The EP Mind Metro, featuring "Reborn", arrived in 2024; "Walton Vale" and "Hairs" followed in 2025, leading to debut album Keep Cheap on 18 September 2026.
